2023 Shakespeare in the Garden Performance Information

Performances run Thursdays-Sundays, July 27-August 20, 2023 at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. Performances begin at 7pm, with seating at 6:45pm; picnicking in the Garden begins at 5:30pm. Seating is reserved, with Premium seats available. Ticket prices are $40 for regular seating and $55 for premium.

Bring Your Own Picnic

Prior to the performance, you’re invited to bring a picnic to enjoy amid the beauty of the Orchard Garden at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden. Neither glass containers nor pets (except registered service dogs) are allowed in the Botanical Garden. Gates will open for picnicking at 5:30pm. Food and drink, except water, are not permitted in the amphitheater. Please “leave no trace,” and pack your own trash out.

 

Pre-Show Talks & Tours

Join us on Thursday and Sunday evenings for special behind-the-scenes talks and tours beginning at 5:30pm, free with admission! Thursdays feature special pre-performance guided garden tours of beautiful blooms, design, and art, all while enjoying a relaxing summer evening walk with stunning views during sunset. Sundays feature talks by members of the creative team behind Much Ado About Nothing. More information will be announced soon!
 

Helpful Information & Policies

  • Tickets to Shakespeare in the Garden are non-refundable.

  • The Box Office is located at the welcome kiosk at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden, and opens one hour prior to performance time. For performance information call Santa Fe Classic Theater, (505) 336-0629. Tickets are sold through a 3rd party platform called Tix.com. 

  • Seating Arrangement: All seats are reserved. No general admission tickets are available. There are two sections of reserved seating: Premium and Regular. 

  • In the event of inclement weather, please check SFCT's Facebook page for weather updates. The performances will hold for rain. However, if inclement weather requires cancellation of the performance, there are no refunds. All ticket-holders will be notified of a cancellation via email. If cancellation of a performance is required, the box office will attempt to accommodate attendees at a rain date, to be announced. We cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.

  • Rescheduling ticket requests should send an email to tickets@santafeclassictheater.org with the ticket purchasers name and dates preferred.

  • The Santa Fe Botanical Garden’s main pathways are ADA compliant and wheelchair access is available. Ushers will assist with directions and any accommodations. Please note that wheelchairs are not provided at our venue. Limited handicapped parking near the Visitors’ Center is available at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • To ensure that the Botanical Garden does not attract pests that could harm our plantings, only water may be taken into the amphitheater. Please, no glass. Picnicking in the Botanical Garden is open each night before the performance, beginning at 5:30pm.

  • Please remember to turn off all cell phones and other electronic devices prior to the performance.

  • No flash photography is permitted during the performance.

  • Wear what makes you feel comfortable. July and August evenings can start off warm, but can become cooler after sunset. Be prepared for cooler weather.

  • Latecomers will be seated by the ushers at intermission. No seating is allowed while actors are performing on stage.
