A Solstice Reading Series
Explore the humor and heartbreak of three worlds in collapse: Russia in the early 1900's, England during The Blitz, and the post-Empire world of absurdist laughter, all lightened by comedy and love.
Join us this winter for our staged readings of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard on November 22, Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit on December 13-14, and Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead in February, 2026.

Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard follows a landowning Russian Family as they face financial ruin and must sell their beloved cherry orchard, confronting loss and social change amidst the backdrop of a fading aristocracy and the rise of a new merchant class and way of life.

The Santa Fe Prep Theater.
Directed by Clare Davidson, assisted by Kelly Kiernan.
Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit was written during The Blitz of 1940 to lift Londoners' spirits and answer the important question - How does a stuffy, middle-aged man confront the ghost of his first madcap wife? This comedy leads to chaos as proper British comportment finds it's no match for the occult.

Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead tells the story of two glorified extras from Shakespeare's Hamlet as they wander through a drama they barely understand. Join us as our "heroes" haphazardly navigate a series of seemingly random events and ponder the meaning of life and identity.
